
J.F. Dacey - "Take the Long Way Home"

J.F.Dacey is a lifelong resident of Lowell, Massachusetts, where he was born on June 28, 1944. He graduated from the municipal school system, dropped out of two colleges, and worked at a varied assortment of livelihoods. Since the late 1960s he has been active in local community theatre organizations as an actor, director, stage manager, and award-winning set designer. In May 2007 a collection of his short plays, "Anatomically Correct," was produced by the Camelot Players of Greater-Lowell and performed its world premiere at the Walter Brennan Lodge on the grounds of the Tyngsboro Country Club. Since the early 1970s he has been a regular contributor of provocative and outspoken opinions to the local newspaper’s “Letters to the Editor” page. "Take The Long Way Home" tells the story of the time the author worked as an all-night taxicab driver during 1979 in his hometown of Lowell. It is Mr. Dacey’s first book.
